A global initiative by the IFC – International Finance Corporation (IFC), aims to accelerate women-led climate startups and increase their access to climate investment. The 12-month accelerator program in Southeast Asia, delivered in partnership with New Energy Nexus (NEX), is designed to propel 25 promising women climate entrepreneurs in the region to lead the transformation of climate action. 🌱
The program focuses on closing the gender gap in climate entrepreneurship by offering resources, mentorship, and investment readiness training to women founders. Backed by the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation and Salesforce, She Wins Climate aims to increase the flow of capital to women-led climate ventures, a segment often underfunded despite high potential for impact.
Target regions include Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America—areas where climate impacts are severe, yet where women entrepreneurs often lack access to support and capital. The program also aims to shift investor mindsets, encouraging more gender-inclusive funding decisions across the climate tech ecosystem.
This move builds on New Energy Nexus’ broader mission to democratize climate entrepreneurship and ensure that underserved communities—especially women—have a seat at the table as the world races to decarbonize.
